My wrap up forAugust
I didn’t do too badly this month for reading – mostly because I was sick for over a week and spent longer reading on the couch and doing nothing than usual!
Obsidio and Strange the Dreamer I listened to on audiobook. If you haven’t listened to the Illuminae files on Audio, I highly recommend them! They are done with a full cast and are amazing. If you’ve never tried audiobooks before, they would be a great place to start!
I had a few books I wasn’t totally in love with this month – The Mermaid, Mirage and Echoes. Also, Strange the Dreamer (don’t hate me! It just wasn’t for me!). However, I loved: Show Stealer – the sequel to the gripping Show Stopper, Sea Witch – a brilliant story about the origin story of Ursula the sea witch from The Little Mermaid, Contagion – a heartstopping sci-fi book, Obsidian – the finale to the Illuminae Files, and After the Lights Go Out – a book about how a small town cope with an apocalyptic event, set in Australia!

I only get to read about 2hrs a day so I guess I must just read at a decent pace 😄

You read some great books this month. After the light goes out is one I have never heard of but am intrigued by it!

I hadn’t heard of it before the publisher sent it to me, but it was absolutely brilliant!
