Book Tour Stop!

Foster and Tate have been thrown together in the worst way possible, in the middle of a giant tornado. When they somehow seem to be able to force that tornado to obey their commands, it sets them on a path where they’ll be running for their lives. With four people after them who have special powers of their own, they’ll need to figure out what their plans are and how to stop them before it’s too late.

The Dysasters was a fun, superhero themed book that was fast paced and included quite a few sketches of scenes, drawn in a comic book / superhero type style. I love that these were included, it really added to the vibe of the story. There were some nice pop culture and music references (I will have the song Rockin’ Robin stuck in my head forever) that also gave the story a truly modern feel. The plot and writing were dramatic and sometimes over the top, but I kind of feel like that’s how a superhero book should be, just pure entertainment.

My absolute favourite character was Tate’s G-Pa and his dog, Bugs-a-million. Who doesn’t love a feisty, sharp as a tack 80 year old!

I’m really looking forward to the next book and finding out what happens in the rest of the story!
