Witches used to be around, and they could smell a kid from a mile away. You wouldn’t want to cross a witch, but there’s not many around anymore….except when a boy and his grandmother go on holiday. After discovering a hoard of them by accident, he has a plan to stop their evil plot, but that’s going to be hard to do in his current…..state.

I love that this beloved Roald Dahl story has been turned into a graphic novel! Even if my 4 year old did make me sit down and read all 304 pages to her in one sitting 😄 I don’t have a lot of experience reading graphic novels but this one was easy to follow and both brought back memories of reading the original story when I was younger, and gave me new visuals to go with it. The illustrations are fantastic and although they are somewhat different, they still seem to hold true to the style we’ve come to know and love on the covers of Dahl’s other books.
