Review

Many thanks to Parliament House Press for providing me with an ARC of this book to review.

People are disappearing in their town when friends Perrie, Maisie and August come across a strange museum called “The Glass Vault”.  There’s a sign on the door saying they’re hiring and Maisie is determined to get the job, no matter how strange the place seems.  When Maisie doesn’t come back from her first night of work, Perrie and August go looking for her, and find more than they bargained for in the Glass Vault.  On a fast paced, wild and creepy ride through all the museum has to offer, will they find out the truth about where Maisie is, and whether the museum holds the secret to the other disappearances?

Quincey Wolfe’s Glass Vault was a quick but engrossing read.  I almost wish it was a little longer though!  The first part of the story moved along at a pace that seemed just a bit too rushed.  I would have liked to see the character’s stories drawn out a little more, but the second half was well executed and as a whole I really enjoyed it.  I love fairytale retellings and, without giving away too many spoilers, this book incorporated many of them in one.  There were some fantastic twists that I really didn’t see coming and actually had me catching my breath.  I’m definitely looking forward to reading the second book!
